The formula contains relative cell addresses A4 & C3, and you know the relative cell addresses change relatively when copied or moved to some other cells. As it says the formula is entered in B5 cell:
Relative to the current cell:
the address A4 is one column left and one row up
the address C3 means one column right and two row up
This implies, when this formula is copied to D8
one column left and one row up cell is C7
one column right and two row up cell is E6
So, when B5 changes to D8
A4 changes to C7
C3 changes to E6
Thus,
B5 = A4 + C3
=> D8 = C7 + E6
Hope it helps!
