      Mithun,

In 1614 John Napier invented Logarithm. Napier’s bones were used to calculate using principles of the logarithm. So 1617 is the correct answer. Please see https://mcqsets.com/s/fundamentals/history-of-computers-calculating-devices/ for more.

First generation computers used vacuum tubes. There were 18000 vacuum tubes used in one computer. So many vacuum tubes definitely consumed lot of electricity and as you know the bulbs produce heat. So option b is not the correct answer.

Is that option ACD or ASCII?

We don’t have ISO standard for keystroke encoding 🙂 So that option is invalid

ASCII and EBCDIC are character encoding mechanisms popular some time back. ASCII was in use with 7 bits encoding and IBM tried to implement EBCDIC with 8 bits but later on IBM itself left it.

Later on after ANSI defined the standard for character encoding. Thus option A is the correct answer for this question.
